The story
The idea
Lavender is usually fresh, almost soapy, a summer morning thing. Here it has kept the warmth of the day and is waiting for night. Eau Noire looks at it by lamplight: rounder, softer, slightly unsettling.
The accord
Three materials carry the whole composition. Lavender opens, broad and honeyed, with nothing sharp about it. Liquorice follows with its bittersweet taste, like a black sweet left to melt on the tongue. Myrrh, a warm resin with a faint thread of smoke, gives the base and holds everything in place.
On the skin
The aromatic opening settles quickly, then liquorice takes the floor and keeps it. It lasts long and leaves a clear trail: you notice it around you through a whole evening, without it filling the room.
When to wear it
In the evening, in autumn and winter, for a dinner for two, a concert or a long conversation. It sits as well on her as on him. One spray on the neck, another on a scarf, and the bottle can stay closed until the next day.
