The story
The idea
Yves Saint Laurent draws a man who knows himself and does not raise his voice. The white flower, long kept for women’s perfumes, becomes the centre of his signature. The result is sober, clean, openly tender.
The accord
Bergamot opens in cool light, like a window over the city in the morning. At the heart, orange blossom is fresh and almost mineral, supported by a woody patchouli and by ambrofix, ambery and modern. The base rests on white musk that recalls the smell of clean skin.
On the skin
The citrus flash is short, then flower and woods settle in. Over the hours, the scent draws closer to the body. It lasts long and leaves a clear trail, especially in the first hours, more so than the original version.
When to wear it
From morning to evening: at the office, in meetings, at a dinner or a quiet night in. In spring, autumn and mild winters, and on summer evenings too. Two or three sprays on the neck and chest, after a shower.
