The story
The idea
At Guerlain, L’Homme Idéal is meant to be clever, charming and a little mysterious. This Parfum version keeps the gourmand almond but darkens it. The talk stays calm, and the pull grows stronger the closer you get. Nothing about it needs to shout.
The accord
Almond opens, round and gourmand, joined by clear bergamot and warm spices. At the heart, leather and patchouli thicken the texture while neroli adds a clean white touch. Sandalwood, musk, smoky labdanum and dry vetiver close the composition.
On the skin
The sweet start soon matures into a dark, polished leather. Longevity is long and sillage is noticeable, then the scent moves closer to the skin and leaves a woody, musky veil.
When to wear it
In the evening, through autumn and winter, for a dinner or a date. Used with restraint, it also suits a cold working day. Two sprays on the neck and wrists are enough for many hours.
