The story
The idea
The name says it all. Guerlain takes violet, the well-behaved flower of old sweets and pressed-flower books, and gives it nerve. The perfume stays polite, elegant, very French, but it never looks away.
The accord
Violet opens, powdery and bright at once. At the heart, strawberry adds a playful sweetness, while orange blossom lights it with a clean whiteness. The base gathers iris, creamy sandalwood, vanilla and tonka bean, for a powdery softness that clings to the skin.
On the skin
From the first minutes, it fills the space. It lasts long and its trail is powerful: a whole room notices. Over the hours, it narrows into a more intimate veil of iris and vanilla.
When to wear it
In the evening, in autumn and winter, for a party, a wedding or a dinner where you want to be seen. One or two sprays are enough, on the neck and wrists, from a good distance.
