The story
The idea
This rose does not come from a garden. Gucci sets it in rougher surroundings, made of bark, soil and black fruit. The result turns down easy sweetness and gladly keeps a share of shadow.
The accord
Blackberry opens with a dark juice, lit by bergamot and a touch of pink pepper. At the heart, rose meets cypress and vetiver, which give it a green, dry structure. Amber and patchouli then lay down an earthy base, the mark of a chypre.
On the skin
Fruit leads for the first half hour, then the woods take over. It lasts long and leaves a marked trail, with no sugary weight. By evening, a woody, almost dry rose stays close to the neck.
When to wear it
In autumn and winter, at the office or in the evening, for a dinner or a date, whenever a sweet scent would feel too easy. Two sprays on the nape and wrists, from a distance, without rubbing.
